Job description

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience in interior design (ID) and carpentry works. The role includes preparing project quotations, costing, and tender documents, managing site progress, and coordinating with subcontractors. You will handle quantity take-offs, payment claims, and ensure all ID and carpentry works meet project specifications and client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare precise and comprehensive cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation, especially for interior design (ID) and carpentry works.
  • Review and interpret tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings to determine project requirements and assess potential risks and opportunities.
  • Perform cost analysis, value engineering, and cost-control activities to optimize expenditures and enhance overall project profitability.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and submission of variation order (VO) costs on a daily or weekly basis, and maintain clear communication with the Project Manager; oversee the prompt submission of monthly progress claims and support the timely closing of final accounts.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress claims in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to source pricing, negotiate contract terms, and resolve commercial matters efficiently.
  • Track and manage project costs, budgets, and cash flows, providing timely reports and insights to project teams and key stakeholders.
  • Attend project meetings, conduct site visits, and participate in inspections to evaluate progress, identify variations, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or related field.
  • Experience in interior design (ID) and carpentry/fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of measurement, costing, and tendering procedures.
  • Able to read and understand ID, carpentry, and construction drawings.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of SAP Ariba is an advantage.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
