Job summary

A leading precision engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to conduct inspections of parts and components. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in a QC role and a diploma in Mechanical or Precision Engineering. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in a QC role within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final inspection of parts, components, and assemblies using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, etc.)
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards to verify compliance
• Identify, document, and report non-conformances; support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality documentation
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and QA teams to ensure quality objectives are met
• Assist in audits (internal/external) and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure tools and measuring equipment are calibrated and properly maintained

Requirements

• GCE ‘O’/‘N’ Levels, NITEC, or Diploma in Mechanical/Precision Engineering or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in a QC role within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
• Proficient in the use of measuring tools and understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems preferred
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
