Job summary

A leading precision engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to conduct inspections of parts and components. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in a QC role and a diploma in Mechanical or Precision Engineering. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the quality standards in Singapore's Precision Engineering sector.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in a QC role within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems preferred.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-process and final inspection of parts, components, and assemblies using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, etc.)
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards to verify compliance
  • Identify, document, and report non-conformances; support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality documentation
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and QA teams to ensure quality objectives are met
  • Assist in audits (internal/external) and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure tools and measuring equipment are calibrated and properly maintained
Requirements
  • GCE ‘O’/‘N’ Levels, NITEC, or Diploma in Mechanical/Precision Engineering or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in a QC role within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
  • Proficient in the use of measuring tools and understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems preferred
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
