A manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing tasks and supplier relations. The role involves coordinating material schedules, ensuring compliance with company standards, and handling customer complaints regarding materials. Proficiency in English and Chinese is required for effective communication. Candidates should have strong analytical skills and the ability to propose purchasing strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Analyse, plan, coordinate, determine and arrange material and products manufacturing tasks and schedules according to customer orders.
2. Organize and schedule deliveries with production and logistic, keep production flowing smoothly with the needed materials.
3. Search available products to find the best combination of quality, price, and delivery.
4. Monitor supplier’s performance including defective goods.
5. Work with QA dept on supplier audits
6. Shortlist new potential supplier with recommendation comparison
7. Handling customer complaints involving material purchase from supplier
8. Maintaining all relevant ISO and FSC documents with accuracy.
9. Ensure all materials purchased are compliant to company standards.
10. Keep detailed records and prepare and submit necessary reports.
11. Maintain daily day to day purchase operations
12. Proficient in English and Chinese
