At the heart of the business is TEAM LEWIS Foundation. In January 2021, there was a need to respond to the challenges the COVID pandemic brought to communities and charitable organisations. TEAM LEWIS saw that support was crucial and change was needed to make that happen. Our local causes scheme was launched. Every member of TEAM LEWIS can nominate a local cause close to their heart to receive a cash donation. In addition, nominated causes can also benefit from a donation in kind of expertise, time, and resources. In the past year TEAM LEWIS has donated almost $2million to 445 causes around the world.

Purpose of the role

The Public Affairs Consultant is tasked with helping keep across the key political and regulatory agendas in the Asia-Pacific region that may impact the brand. This role will also help with coming up with strategic recommendations and risk mitigation strategies to help protect the brand and its ability to do business.

Key responsibilities
  • Monitoring of New and Emerging Regulatory Risks
    • Maintain ongoing monitoring and research into new and emerging regulatory risks across the region including industry trends
    • Make use of key subscriptions, such as FIA, to ensure up-to-date knowledge sharing
    • Make recommendations on other platforms or groups that could support with keeping the client updated
    • Ensure a keen focus on issues surrounding Health & Nutrition, Tax & Trade, Sustainability and Corporate Communications
  • Prepare Monthly Reports
    • Provide concise and relevant reporting to the region on a monthly basis, including presenting notes
    • Develop and adapt templates as required, suggesting tweaks to format
    • Present reports to the Regional Director for discussion and analysis
    • Use analysis and research to produce strategies to mitigate and map risk for the brand
    • Derive proactive as well as reactive approaches that can help to safeguard the company and present these in requested formats
About you
  • At least 15 years’ experience in public affairs / corp comms, ideally in the food and beverage sector
  • Proven experience and exposure to the regulatory and sustainability field
  • Background in program management
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience working in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Team player and people person, with the ability to influence and form strong relationships
  • Calmness under pressure and ability to deliver to tight deadlines
