A leading educational service provider in Singapore is seeking an experienced psychologist to conduct assessments and provide interventions for students with socio-emotional needs. Key responsibilities include managing crises, providing training to stakeholders, and mentoring junior staff. Candidates should possess a Master's in Applied Psychology or Clinical Psychology and have at least 5 years of relevant experience. The position offers the opportunity for professional development and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Psychological Assessment for (i) school admission, (ii) programme placement, (iii) identification of socio-emotional and behavioural needs, (iv) progress monitoring, (v) mental capacity for assisted deputyship application programme.
Conduct vocational profiling and facilitate the combination of report meeting
Conduct admission screening to ensure fitted school placement
Select and administer screening and assessment tools (e.g. BASC, mood disorder checklist)
Select and administer standardised psychological assessment for mental capacity assessment
Prepare assessment resources and protocol for mental capacity assessments so as to contextualise to the needs of the student
Prepare assessment report including scoring and interpretation
Make recommendation and conclusion based on assessment results
Guide junior psychologist in psychological assessments including selection, test administration, and report writing
Provide Psychological Interventions for students referred for socio-emotional and behavioural needs.
Conduct individual intervention
Conduct group intervention
Guide junior psychologist in case conceptualisation, treatment planning and progress monitoring
Lead in the design and crafting of group intervention
Manage Crisis
Recognise signs and symptoms of distress
Provide crisis intervention
Administer suicide risk assessment
Make recommendation for follow-up actions after the crisis
Guide junior psychologist in crisis intervention including recognising signs and symptoms of distress, soft-skills to de-escalate students in distress, and conduct risk assessment
Conduct psychological debriefing session after the crisis
Provide training to stakeholders
Conduct training for stakeholders (e.g. employer education, staff induction)
Conduct specialised training (e.g. CARE Kit training, Understanding self-harm behaviour)
Lead in the design and customisation of training to meet needs of stakeholders
Collect and collate of data to measure training effectiveness
Evaluate and review effectiveness of training design to ensure overall training objectives are met
Perform Clinical Supervision
Provide guidance to junior staff on assessment, case intervention so as to adhere to both organisational and psychological guidelines
Leadership
Provide thought leadership in the design of the various portfolios in psychology discipline
Provide ongoing guidance to junior psychologist or intern in their key responsibilities and functions
Administrative duties
Digitization of reports
Documentation of clinical duties
Assist in preparing and submitting Key Review Area (KRA) and targets to AP Manager
Carry out other administrative duties assigned by AP Manager
