A leading construction company in Singapore is looking for a Project Engineer to coordinate and manage technical approvals for precast components. This role involves ensuring that precast designs comply with project specifications and schedules, monitoring installation processes, and maintaining stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil Engineering, is proficient in AutoCAD and Tekla Structures, and has 2-3 years of relevant industry experience. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
The Project Engineer (Precast Technical Department) is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and managing all technical and drawings approval of precast components. The role ensures precast components are designed and fabricated in compliance with project specifications and schedules.
Manage precast drawings, ensuring the model and drawings are accurate and compliant with Singapore's established standards.
Prepare and modify precast schematic, detailed, and production drawings for precast concrete components as per design requirement for construction projects to ensure the feasibility of production and installation of precast elements that meet project specifications, structural requirements and quality standards.
Ensure shop drawings are clear, accurate, and in accordance with project requirements, standard and project timelines before submission and production.
Develop solutions for technical and design challenges in accordance with Singapore's established standards.
Provide guidance on precast detailing, tolerances, and connections.
Support modifications to precast components in response to site conditions or design changes.
Monitor installation tolerances and resolve site issues related to alignment, lifting, and connections.
Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies.
Promote a culture of safety among site teams and subcontractors.
Track progress of precast drawings status against project schedule and report deviations.
Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and forecasts for management and clients.
Maintain documentation including approvals, and as-built records.
Engage in client communication, consult with authorities, coordinate with consultants and subcontractors for technical clarification and drawing submissions, and attend design and construction meetings.
Attend project meetings to address technical and drawing issues.
Identify and highlight discrepancies in the drawings, liaising with clients and consultants on design and detailing
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers or BIM modelers involved in precast works.
Perform other duties as assigned by the direct superior.
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency inAutoCADandTekla Structuresis highly regarded.
A strong understanding ofBIM (Building Information Modeling)workflows and their application to large-scale projects is a significant advantage.
Excellent organizational abilities and strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders.
2-3 years of relevant experience in the construction or precast industry is preferred.
