Job Responsibilities
  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to understand operational pain points, translate them into technical requirements, and deliver practical automation solutions that improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Define and implement the automation technology stack with significant autonomy to select tools and build solutions that will be standardized and deployed across all Skyworks factories globally.
  • Drive data-driven digital transformation projects that replace manual Excel-based tracking with automated systems, digitize paper-based workflows, and establish single sources of truth for manufacturing data, reducing decision‑making time from days to minutes.
  • Develop custom automation workflows to address specific operational challenges and unique use cases across Skyworks manufacturing environment.
  • Integrate equipment, sensors, and data systems to create a connected manufacturing environment that supports predictive maintenance and smarter operations.
  • Lead the system automation team using DevOps best practices, ensuring robust version control, reliable deployments, and maintainable code across all automation initiatives.
Job Requirements
  • Experience with SECS/GEM protocols and equipment automation in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor MES systems and their integration within manufacturing operations.
  • Strong database skills including SQL and PL/SQL, with hands‑on experience in SQL Server and Oracle environments.
  • Programming proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, Java, C#) with ability to develop and maintain production-quality code.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving abilities with systematic approach to troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong collaboration skills for working effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience with version controls systems and CI/CD pipelines.
