1 Job Description

General Accountability

• A1 Safety and ISO14001 environmental accountability: ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally‑friendly workplace by observing Company’s rules and procedures; actively prevent and eliminate potential safety hazards and participate in activities that promote recycling, replacement and reduction of resource materials.
• A2 Safety & health accountability: Safety and health are important to BD and we encourage the observance of all safety programs and training assigned to you. Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance with our safety guidelines and SOPs.
• A3 Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) accountability: observe GMP rules and procedures.
• A4 Apply SOP and/or SWI in daily operations.
• A5 Observe BD Code of Ethics.
• A6 Reporting all incidents, accidents, near misses and deviations from plan, and when required, taking part in further investigations.

Operation Tasks

• B1 Operate on machine/process units as assigned.
• B2 Perform troubleshooting for machine/equipment failures to meet production targets, quality standards and/or specifications.
• B3 Perform preventive maintenance (cleaning, service, replace).
• B4 While operating, always check and record the machine or process parameters, and take containment and corrective actions if necessary to ensure that the machine or process is under control.
• B5 Sampling inspection of parts as per Quality plan to ensure that the products are within specifications. If out of specification, handle the disposition of non‑conforming products as required by the Quality plan.
• B6 Support the Team Leader to execute changes and projects within the production area, ensuring compliance to EHS requirements, quality, cost and schedule.
• B7 Perform product/machine changeover on the line by clearing the previous lot parts, changing materials, tool/die change, and minor machine set‑up; key in the necessary information into the machine MES satellite.
• B8 Coordinate with the Manufacturing Assistant on the following tasks:
  • Maintain housekeeping and cleaning of machine and work area to ensure a neat, tidy and safe working environment.
  • Accuracy in updating the machine MES satellite (correct component lot numbers, accurate shift output, waste and downtime).
  • Manage material handling activities, which include packing/unpacking, loading/unloading.

Department Activities

• C1 Contribute to department activities that are needed to achieve goals set for the department (e.g., Kaizen submission, team building, safety Kaizen submission, 20Keys and others).
• C2 Participate in the discussion and review of the team's performance in the daily shift changeover meeting.
• C3 Participate in continuous improvement initiatives/activities.
• C4 Perform any other tasks as assigned.
