Responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient production line operations, delivering top-quality products on time while meeting all safety, quality, and productivity standards. This is for growing medical device company. This person requires to have medical device experience, or semi con with strong assembly line and people management experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor production safety and workplace discipline; actively support Health & Safety programs.
- Oversee daily operator activities in the workshop and enforce discipline and 6S standards.
- Plan, organize, and monitor production activities to ensure alignment with production schedules.
- Drive department performance to meet Production KPIs, including Materials Accuracy, Yield, Efficiency, and Productivity.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely feedback to supervisors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate defective products, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Manage production resources including manpower, equipment, and materials allocation.
- Maintain accurate and effective production line records, databases, and documentation.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen) to enhance efficiency, reduce scrap, and control costs.
- Supervise Assemblers and Team Leaders, providing motivation, coaching, and performance support.
- Encourage team participation in company activities and initiatives.
- Perform additional assignments as required by management.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in a technical field, or equivalent work experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of lead or supervisory experience in a high-volume production environment, preferably in medical device manufacturing or related industry.
- Strong assembly experience in medical devices.
- Mon - Friday (Perm Night Shift)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven leadership ability with experience managing teams of operators or production staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literacy required.
