Job description

Our growing company is looking to fill the role of procurement clerk. To join our team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.

Responsibilities for procurement clerk
  1. Compare contractor insurance certificates against contract requirements and contact insurance agents to request certificate changes if necessary.
  2. Input data from contracts and certificates of insurance to the Contractor Data Management System (CDMS).
  3. Enroll contractor companies in the CICI drug and alcohol testing consortium.
  4. Maintain open invoices and paid bills, including documentation and support (invoices, receipts, vouchers, purchase orders, check copies, and correspondence) for each transaction.
  5. Open, date stamp, and distribute all vendor incoming mail.
  6. Match incoming vendor invoices with purchase orders (excluding tax payments).
  7. Code all accounts payable vouchers according to accounting policies.
  8. Schedule payments, and update payment approval statuses when necessary.
  9. Prepare and distribute check payments as appropriate.
  10. Prepare and record manual checks as requested via data entry.
Qualifications for procurement clerk
  • Review and research team invoice inquiries.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
  • Strong customer service skills and professionalism when dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Typing, word processing, proofreading, and data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to being a positive and professional team member.
  • Five or more years of related experience; experience in the food industry is a plus.
