Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Drafting Engineer to be responsible for studying construction drawings and preparing shop drawings. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Civil Engineering or a Professional Certificate and at least 2 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in the precast sector. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office is essential. Strong communication skills, initiative, and problem-solving abilities are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of drafting experience in the construction industry.
• Preferably with experience in the precast industry.
• Must be independent, meticulous, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Study construction drawings and raise RFIs.
• Prepare shop drawings and submit for approval.
• Liaise with internal functions regarding design and drawings.

• Study construction drawing
• Raise RFI
• Responsible for the preparation of design calculation, producing of shop drawings and submit for approval
• Prepare and issue production drawing to production team
• Liaising with other internal company functions on all matters related to design and shop drawings.
• Maintain all drawing files, update drawings as needed, and make correction to drawing as needed.

Job Requirements

• Degree or higher qualifications in Civil Engineering or Professional Certificate
• Minimum 2 years of drafting experience on Construction Industry, preferably in precast industry
• Possess strong initiative, resourceful, independent, meticulous and technologically forward-looking
• Good communication skills and a team player
• With problem solving skill and able to multitask
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Prefer with Civil Engineering background
