We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to cutting‑edge research in multiscale clay science and geotechnical engineering. The position centers on uncovering fundamental and applied mechanisms of clay–fluid interactions, environmental geotechnics, and sustainable soil‑based materials through integrated computational modeling, laboratory experiments, and data‑driven approaches. The successful candidate will play a key role in ongoing and new research initiatives, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and help advance NTU’s leadership in sustainable geotechnical technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in geotechnical engineering across areas such as waste isolation, contaminant sequestration, sediment transport, geopolymer development, and broader soil engineering applications. Responsibilities include performing computational simulations, designing and executing laboratory experiments, analyzing data, preparing progress reports, publishing scientific papers, and contributing to the development of research proposals.
  • Provide mentorship to junior researchers, including PhD, master’s, and undergraduate students, as well as prospective high school students participating in research projects.
Job Requirements
  • PhD degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering or related field
  • Relevant research experience on geotechnical engineering
  • Relevant research experience in molecular dynamics simulations and computational fluid dynamics will be preferred.
