A leading environmental consulting firm in Singapore seeks a qualified Operations Manager to oversee waste treatment and ensure compliance with safety and EHS regulations. The role requires 7-10 years of experience in industrial plant operations, including team management and a strong understanding of treatment systems. Responsibilities include enforcing safety protocols, managing daily operations, and leading process improvements to enhance facility performance. Competitive salary range of $5,000 – $7,000 plus variable bonuses offered.

Safety & EHS Compliance
Enforce a zero-harm culture through safety audits, incident investigations, timely closure of findings, and regular safety briefings.
Ensure all plant activities comply with EHS regulations and permit requirements.
Operations & Plant Uptime
Manage daily operations to meet/exceed waste processing throughput targets.
Coordinate preventive maintenance with the Maintenance team to minimize unplanned downtime.
Provide technical troubleshooting and guidance on treatment systems/equipment (e.g., pumps, clarifiers, filters, chemical dosing/feed systems).
Manpower & Team Management
Plan shift schedules and manpower deployment to ensure 24/7 or optimal operational coverage.
Identify skill gaps and conduct technical/safety training for operators.
Set staff KPIs and perform regular performance evaluations.
Manage and supervise foreign worker teams.
Housekeeping & Facility Standards
Implement and maintain 5S and strong housekeeping standards.
Ensure chemical stocks, tools, and spare parts are properly stored and readily available.
Record Keeping & Reporting
Maintain accurate plant logs, discharge quality reports, maintenance records, and safety documentation.
Prepare weekly/monthly KPI reports (e.g., cost-per-ton processed, chemical usage, plant efficiency).
Continuous Improvement
Lead initiatives to reduce chemical consumption, energy usage, and waste-to-landfill ratios.
Stay updated on new treatment technologies and propose upgrades to improve performance and reliability.
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
7–10 yearsin waste treatment/industrial plant operations, including3+ yearsin a management role.
Strong knowledge ofphysical/chemical/biologicaltreatment systems and specialized waste equipment.
