A hospitality establishment in Singapore seeks a talented French Pastry Chef to lead the creation of high-quality pastries. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced in French pastry production, and capable of innovating unique pastry items. Responsibilities include preparing a variety of French pastries, developing seasonal menus, and training junior staff. We are looking for a talented and passionate French Pastry Chef to lead the creation of high-quality pastries and desserts. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and able to consistently produce exceptional items. Experience in new bakery setup, menu development, and creative pastry innovation will be a strong advantage.
Prepare and bake a full range of French pastries such as croissants, éclairs, tarts, macarons, choux, and cakes.
Develop and refine recipes, seasonal menus, and new pastry creations.
Prepare creams, fillings, and sauces (e.g., custard, ganache, whipped cream).
Ensure all products meet the company’s standards for taste, texture, appearance, and consistency.
Assist in setting up a new bakery production flow, equipment arrangement, and SOP development.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in accordance with SFA hygiene requirements.
Monitor stock levels, check ingredient quality, and inform the manager when supplies need replenishing.
Train, guide, and supervise junior pastry staff when required.
Work closely with management to improve production efficiency and innovate new pastry ideas.
Formal pastry or baking qualification preferred.
Strong experience in French pastry production (minimum ___ years; you can specify).
Experience in new bakery setup, menu planning, and recipe development is a strong plus.
Highly creative, with a passion for experimenting and producing unique pastry concepts.
Able to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
Good teamwork, responsibility, hygiene discipline, and attention to detail.
Physically able to stand for long hours in a fast-paced Singapore kitchen environment.
