A logistics solutions company in Singapore is seeking candidates for a role in Freight Forwarding operations. Responsibilities include supporting day-to-day freight operations, handling import and export shipments, and maintaining customer relationships. The ideal candidate should possess strong customer service skills, multitasking abilities, and a focus on analytical problem-solving. Preferably, candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Support day-to-day Ocean and Road Freight operations.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Commercial on maintenance of customers.

Job description
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Strong operational knowledge within Freight Forwarding covering road and ocean
  • This role supports day to day Ocean and Road Freight operations
  • Shipment planning consists of LCL, FCL, Breakbulk, RORO etc.
  • Haulage arrangements
  • Customs clearance declaration
  • Work closely with internal departments to coordinate customer’s shipments
  • Handling Import and Export shipments & documentation from A to Z
  • Build and maintain good rapport with customers to fulfill their requirements
  • Troubleshooting and attending to customer complaints/disputes.
  • Troubleshooting and attending to ministry/official authority.
  • Ensure all enquirers are responded to within the shortest possible time frame.
  • To obtain pricing and generate complete/competitive quotation base on customer’s requirements.
  • Follow up with customer, overseas agents and overseas offices on the quotation/proposal and negotiate to a closure.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Commercial on maintenance of customers.
  • Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing.
  • Involvement in ad-hoc duties and assignments may be required from time to time
