Job summary

A leading logistics company in Singapore is seeking a qualified candidate to manage and coordinate sea and air shipments. Responsibilities include resolving shipment issues, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining customer communication. Candidates must have at least O’Level and 2 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding and logistics. A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to start immediately is preferred. Only Singaporeans and PRs will be considered.

Job Description
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating both Sea and Air shipments
  • Coordination and resolves shipment issues
  • To communicate efficiently with customers, shipping lines, transport team, trucking partners and overseasoffices in order to ensure smooth pick up / delivery of the shipments
  • Ensure customer requirements meet, prompt updates on their shipments and documentation accuracy and precise
  • Ensure month-end closing complete timely
  • Ensure all shipments handle in detailed, accurate and timely manner
  • Effectively follow up with airlines, carriers, NVOCC and overseas offices on any short-landed, damaged or anydiscrepancy cargo
  • Answering to customer's inquiries and handling customer's complaints in tactful manner
  • Prompt response within deadline in quotation submission to agents and customers
  • Any other adhoc task assigned by Team Leader and/or General Manager
Qualification
  • Candidate must possess at leastO’Level,
  • Certificate in Lifting Supervisor / Riggerman / Signalman / CSOC / OPSOC is a PLUS

Relevant skills and qualifications include experience with logistics and supply chain, and a demonstrated trackrecord of successful service operations, attendance as well as references.

Additionally, proficiency in logistics software and system is a plus

Requirements
  • Min. 2 years’ experience, knowledge in freight forwarding, import and export, OOG, DGR procedures and permits declaration
  • Experience in handling Project shipments is a PLUS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player
  • Able to start immediately or on a short notice
