Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business and have significant impact across the lifecycle of a trade. We partner extensively with a range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with our external client base, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Our Business Intelligence and Process Re‑engineering group works alongside our Operations teams delivering automation solutions to solve for operational challenges. We partner with Citi’s innovation labs to drive optimization, and overall play a pivotal role in enabling us to transform to achieve our target operating model.

Our Technology partners develop and implement a wide range of applications that support the Operations, Change, Design and Implementation groups in providing innovative products and solutions. Officer, FX Settlement Junior Analyst

The Officer, FX Settlement Junior Analyst is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform trade verifications to ensure accuracy of booking requests
  • Generate and match trade confirmations according to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) templates
  • Process FX transactions settlement, provide analytic input for traders and aid in review of derivative products in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
  • Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention activities in accordance with established policies
  • Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • 2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Fundamental understanding of Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies
  • Good interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and intermediate problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work in a structured, high volume, fast‑paced, time sensitive, high risk and demanding environment
  • Good analytical skills, positive attitude and good learning ability with great attention to detail and multitasking
  • Open to work on public holidays and weekends
