Job summary

Responsibilities
  • Initial diagnosis, ticketing, and prioritisation.
  • Incident response (L1/L2): Troubleshoot per SLA, apply workarounds, escalate to engineering/providers, and drive closure with clear comms.
  • Cross-border services: Support IPLC/IEPL, IP Transit, MPLS/VPN; coordinate maintenance windows, change execution, and rollback plans.
  • Change & validation: Pre-checks, implementation checkpoints, PIV; keep rollback readiness and change hygiene.
  • Performance & capacity: Track utilisation, produce weekly/monthly reports, and recommend tuning/expansion.
  • Documentation: Maintain topology, SOP/runbooks, RCAs, and audit-ready ticket records.
  • Shift coverage: Participate in rostered shift/on-call to meet priority incident needs.
What You Bring
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related.
  • Experience: 2–4 years in NOC / network operations (L1/L2) within carrier or large enterprise environments, operating to SLAs.
  • Networking: Working knowledge of IP/MPLS, BGP/OSPF, VLAN, QoS, ACL, NAT; familiarity with OTN/DWDM/SDH is a plus.
  • Tools: Hands-on with monitoring/ticketing (Zabbix/PRTG/SolarWinds, ServiceNow/Jira/Remedy), basic CLI, and Wireshark packet reads.
  • Communication: Crisp incident notes, timely updates, and confident vendor/customer coordination.
  • Language: English and Mandarin — Mandarin is required to liaise with China-based technical teams and review Mandarin technical/contract materials (business necessity).
  • Eligibility: Legally able to work in Singapore; open to night/weekend shifts per roster.
Nice to Have
  • Certifications: CCNA/HCNA/CCNP/HCIP, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent.
  • Exposure to MVNO/mobile platforms, large campus networks, or carrier-grade integrations.
  • RCA writing, problem management, or change management experience.
