Responsible for delivery of patients’ service in the work area in a personalized, specialized and cost-effective way in accordance to established hospital policies, procedures and standard of practices.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• To assess for mental health issues, provide case formulation and recommendations for treatment.
• To provide appropriate counseling / psychotherapy for identified inpatients and outpatients.
• To contribute, as part of an inter‑disciplinary team, in the overall care plan for the patient.
• As part of an inter‑disciplinary team, to facilitate transition to adult‑care.
• To develop or improve on workflow for better patient care.
• To initiate and implement new psycho‑social programmes.
• To assist in the development of materials for teaching and training.
• Provide in-service training for department staff as needed.

Qualification Required and Area of Discipline

• Degree in Social Work.
• Keen to work in medical settings.
• Able to start immediately.
