Position

Louis Vuitton Singapore has opportunities within our Merchandising team, overseeing Men's Shoes and Women's Ready to Wear and Shoes categories.

  • Manage and drive the selected category's business in South Asia.
  • Create commercially balanced assortments in line with brand aspirations and strategies.
  • Identify category growth opportunities as well as risks to the business.
  • Deliver reliable sales analysis, drawing focused insights that lead to action plans.
  • 360 commercial management of the category.

Job responsibilities

General

  • Support the manager as the category lead.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and cross-functional partners.
  • Partner with Central Teams as the zone category representative.

Sales Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales and sell through reports.
  • Proactively initiate ad hoc analysis to explore new opportunities and business concerns.
  • Provide deep dive and qualitative feedback for Zone & Central.

Assortment Management

  • Attend 4 buying sessions a year.
  • Create assortments considering brand strategies and market specificities, while delivering sales targets.
  • In-season management, re-assorting stores based on performance, new opportunities, activations, etc.

Training & Collection Launch Preparation

  • Partner with other categories on 360 Transversal Launches.
  • Proactively initiate ad hoc analysis to explore new opportunities and business concerns.
  • Provide deep dive and qualitative feedback for Zone & Central.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners (i.e. Retail, Learning & Development, Digital, Visual Merchandising, Communications, Client Development, etc.) to achieve 360 category objectives.
  • Partnership with Country Merchandisers and Retail Teams to drive sales and understand market needs.
  • Be the bridge between the South Asia zone (each country / store) and Paris team.

Supply Chain

  • Partner closely with Supply Chain Team to ensure the right stock, at the right stores, in the right quantities.
  • Work collaboratively on in-season sales forecasts and during buying sessions.
  • Share category strategies to ensure alignment in stock management.

Retail

  • Close communication with stores to understand product feedback and opportunities, as well as clients.
  • Provide Retail Teams with tools and information to achieve sales targets.
  • Support special events and activations.

Market & Competition Update

  • Understand market trends and competitor strategies for market context and to feedback to Central team.
  • Provide market feedback, product needs and opportunities to Central team for collection creation.
  • Apply insights from market analysis to category action plans.
Profile
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience. Luxury experiences will be an asset.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills along with a commercial mindset.
  • Ability to draw meaningful insights from analysis and to clearly share findings and initiate actions.
  • High proficiency in MS office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Results driven with a genuine passion for the product category.
  • Highly adaptable, agile and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Organized, structured and action oriented.
  • Genuine curiosity, proactiveness, and a team player in a fast-paced environment.
