Job description

Design & development

Design & development: create and improve mechanical parts/systems (CAD models, drawings, specs).

Analysis

Analysis: check whether designs will work (stress, fatigue, vibration, thermal, fluid flow).

Testing & validation

Testing & validation: build prototypes, run lab/field tests, troubleshoot failures, write test reports.

Manufacturing & production support

Manufacturing & production support: choose materials/processes, design for manufacturability, solve shop-floor issues.

Project work

Project work: requirements, timelines, budgets, risk management, supplier coordination.

Compliance & safety

Compliance & safety: meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality systems (ISO, ASME, etc.).

Documentation

Documentation: drawings, BOMs, tolerances/GD&T, change control (ECR/ECO), technical reports.
