Job summary

A leading power solutions company in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical concepts and designs. The candidate will collaborate closely with teams in R&D and sales, and work with suppliers to ensure effective solutions. A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and at least three years of relevant experience are required. The role requires hands-on problem solving and the ability to work in an international team.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead in mechanical concepts, designs, technical drawing.
  2. Collaborate closely with R&D, field applications, and sales teams for specifications, design, prototyping, and fabrication.
  3. Work closely with suppliers and fabricators to deliver the required solutions.
  4. Support other functions such as field applications to customer sites as needed.

Job Requirements:

  1. Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  2. At least three (3) years of relevant experience.
  3. Good knowledge and experience in mechanical product design and assembly, 2D/3D CAD application with SolidWorks for fabrications, tolerance analysis.
  4. Familiar with fabrication methods (sheet metal fabrication, CNC, 3D printing), materials (metal and plastic), and understanding of complete product design cycle.
  5. Experience in design of die casting and plastic injection molding is a plus.
  6. Willing to hands-on, being resourceful, be proactive and creative with strong problem-solving ability.
  7. Persistent yet open-minded with "above and beyond" startup mentality is a big bonus.
  8. Good in written English. Able to communicate in basic English.
  9. Good team player and the ability to work independently in international team environments.
