Job summary

A renowned engineering firm in Singapore seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Automation Machines. The candidate will be engaged in designing, testing, and commissioning products while collaborating with customers and enhancing automation performance. Ideal candidates should have an ITE in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of experience in customized automation machine design. Proficiency in SolidWorks is preferred along with knowledge of Pro-E and Inventor. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary.

Job description

• Position: Mechanical Design Engineer (Automation Machines) – Up to $5,500 + AWS
• Location: Woodlands (4 Bus Stops from Admiralty MRT)
• Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays | 8:30am to 5:30pm
• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $5,500 + AWS + Variable Bonus (Up to 2 months) + 12–16 Days of Annual Leave + Medical Benefits
• Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities

• Design, test, debug and commission the company’s product, which includes jigs and fixtures, customized semi and fully automatic machines.
• Attend meetings with customers to discuss requirements in new projects and/or project proposals.
• Research and develop new ideas and concepts to enhance company’s performance and competitiveness in the field of industrial automation.
• Procure and/or assist in the procurement of necessary items to enable the performance of above duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of ITE in Mechanical Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in Customized Automation Machine Design.
• Experience in customized semi-con/connector/machine design preferred.
• Knowledge in SolidWorks preferred, familiar with Pro-E and Inventor added advantage.
