Our client is a leading Japanese boiler manufacturer providing innovative solutions in heat energy, water treatment, and environmental technologies. They are seeking a Marine Service Engineer to join their dynamic team in Singapore.

This position reports to the Chief Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Attend onboard assignments for repair and maintenance of boilers, incinerators, ballast water systems, and other related equipment.
• Prepare service quotations and submit them to customers.
• Issue sales slips and related service documentation.
• Prepare technical and service reports for submission to the Chief Engineer.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide after-sales technical support.

Qualifications

Requirements & Preferences

(Must)

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in shipyard environments, marine industry, or marine vessel operations (e.g., as a ship crew member).
• Proficient in English for effective communication with customers and counterparts.
• Strong technical knowledge and hands‑on experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Willing to travel occasionally within ASEAN countries (approximately 1–2 times per month for 2–4 days per trip).
• Willing to work beyond standard hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.

(Advantageous)

• Possession of a valid Class 3 Driving License.

• Overtime Entitlement:
  • For employees with a basic salary below SGD 2,600, OT pay will be 1.5x or 2x the basic rate.
  • For employees with a basic salary above SGD 2,600, OT will be compensated at a flat rate.
