Job description

Our client, a marine company in Singapore specializing in shipyard operations, is looking for a QA professional. As a member of the QA team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality across our operations. You will collaborate with various departments to develop and implement QA policies, procedures, and initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic and growing organization in the maritime industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Review and update the organization's Quality Policy and Objectives for Management’s approval.
2. Review and update the company's Occupational Health & Safety Policy and Objectives.
3. Prepare, review, and update Quality Management System (QMS) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) manuals, procedures, and forms.
4. Interpret and implement quality assurance standards and procedures.
5. Review the implementation and effectiveness of standards and procedures.
6. Plan and conduct internal audits for ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 as scheduled.
7. Conduct Management Review Meetings for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
8. Manage third-party certification audits for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and BizSafe STAR.
9. Coordinate with respective departments for external audit preparations.
10. Follow-up on post-audit activities.
11. Manage Document Control for all QMS and OHSMS documents to ensure the latest revisions.
12. Support departments in procedure reviews and updates, ensuring timely incorporation of changes.
13. Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.
14. Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), workshop fabricated items inspections, and onboard completion inspections.
15. Prepare inspection reports and update overall inspection status.
16. Liaise with clients and CLASS Surveyors on external inspections.
17. Monitor and expedite the closure of non-conformances.
18. Create and review Risk Management Plans for projects.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
• Technical inspection and report writing skills.
• Experience in organizational performance management and quality systems management.
• Leadership qualities.
• Experience in QA for Interior Design is a plus.
• Graduate in Business Management.
• Experience in outfitting is advantageous.
