Opportunity:
- The Industry & Community Manager will play a key role in supporting the strategic planning and execution of SCCA’s flagship and bespoke events, chapter initiatives, and membership engagement efforts. Reporting to the Acting Director, the ideal candidate will bring strong coordination, communication, and analytical skills to enhance event impact, grow member engagement, and ensure operational excellence.
- This role involves hands-on support across event logistics and stakeholder relations, while also contributing to chapter development and membership growth strategies. The position offers a dynamic opportunity for a resourceful and detail-oriented individual to make a tangible impact within the IHC community in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flagship Events
- Event Coordination:
- Support the Director in planning and executing flagship events (sponsor side).
- Assist with logistical aspects, including venue selection, registration, and on-site management.
- Marketing and Promotion Support:
- Aid the Director in developing and executing marketing strategies for flagship events.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance event visibility and attendance.
- Vendor and Partner Liaison:
- Work closely with the Director to liaise with vendors and partners, ensuring smooth event operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with sponsors and partners under the Director’s guidance.
- Feedback Collection:
- Collect feedback from attendees and stakeholders.
- Assist the Director in analyzing feedback to improve future events.
- Bespoke Events
- Event Planning and Execution Support:
- Aid the Director in designing and developing bespoke events tailored to specific member needs.
- Assist the Director in executing bespoke events, ensuring high standards of delivery.
- Feedback Collection:
- Collect and analyze feedback from bespoke events.
- Use insights to assist the Director in continuously improving the quality and impact of future events.
- Chapter Initiatives
- Chapter Support:
- Assist the Director in developing programs and initiatives for chapters to engage their local communities.
- Provide operational support and guidance to regional chapters under the Director’s direction.
- Build strong relationships and foster collaboration among chapters.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Monitor the performance of chapter initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to the Director for improvement.
- Membership Growth & Retention
- Membership Strategy Support:
- Assist the Director in developing and implementing strategies to grow and retain membership.
- Identify target demographics and create tailored membership offerings.
- Member Engagement:
- Develop programs and activities to engage and retain members, supporting the Director’s objectives.
- Foster a sense of community and belonging among members.
- Membership Data Analysis:
- Analyze membership data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Use insights to inform the Director’s membership growth and retention strategies.
- Events P&L
- Financial Planning Assistance:
- Assist the Director in developing and managing the budget for all events.
- Ensure alignment of financial plans with organizational goals and objectives.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare regular financial reports and analyses on event performance.
- Use financial data to inform the Director’s decision-making and strategic planning.
Key Qualifications:
- Qualifications in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience in business development and/or sales.
- Strong attention to detail with experience in financial reporting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
