Job Description: Manager and Head of Engineering Department

Department : Engineering Department

Reporting to: General Manager

Position Overview:

As the Head of the Engineering Department, the Engineering Manager will provide strategic and technical leadership for all engineering activities related to commercial & industrial LPG project, LGSW’s installation & etc. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong technical background, exceptional project management skills, and a commitment to safety and compliance. The Engineering Manager will oversee the department’s operations, ensuring excellence in project delivery, client satisfaction, and regulatory adherence while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Engineering Department, aligning departmental goals with organizational objectives and ensuring optimal team performance.
  • Oversee and manage all engineering activities for industrial LPG projects and also LGSW's related activities for servicing and installation contract, ensuring compliance with design and client specifications, regulatory standards, and project timelines.
  • Identify and evaluate engineering risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, and relevant authorities on engineering matters, fostering effective communication and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Safe Work Procedures and safety regulations throughout the installation and commissioning processes.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and other technical evaluations, contributing to risk assessments, decision-making, and process improvements.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to the Sales team and clients, ensuring that technical issues are promptly and effectively resolved.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of engineering-related documentation, reports, and progress updates in accordance with project schedules and organizational requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in the LPG/ Engineering Field industry, with a proven track record of managing industrial LPG projects/ Engineering Projects.
  • Familiarity in LPG FSSD regulations will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects and tasks effectively.
  • Strong strategic thinking and organizational abilities, with a results-driven approach to achieving departmental and organizational goals.
  • Possession of a Class 3 driving license and own vehicle.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in leading a multidisciplinary team and managing cross-functional collaborations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
