Job summary

A national education body in Singapore is seeking a dedicated full-time Japanese Language teacher. The ideal candidate should have a degree and teaching certification in Japanese Language, alongside excellent communication skills. We are looking for dedicated and highly-motivated Japanese Language teachers to work full‑time at our MOE Language Centre. If you have a degree and teaching certification in Japanese Language, in addition to possessing excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching, we welcome you to apply for this position. Applicants should also have the fitness and stamina to deliver lessons, and the resilience required to engage students safely and carry out their duties effectively. Requirements
Academic Qualifications
  • A university degree in Japanese Language, Linguistics, or Language Education.
  • Or, a university degree and a teaching certification in Japanese as a foreign language. E.g., Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education, or passed either the 日本語教育能力検定試験 or 日本語教員試験.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Proficient in using educational technology tools to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Skilled in developing assessment materials and curriculum resources.
Language Proficiency
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English.
Experience
  • Prior experience teaching Japanese to students aged 12–19 will be advantageous.
  • Strong classroom management skills, particularly for large classes (30–40 students), will be an added advantage.
