A leading insurance company in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst. The role involves bridging the gap between IT and business through data analytics, defining requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3-5 years of experience in business analysis. The position offers a full-time role with standard office hours and the potential for occasional overtime.
The IT Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. This role involves understanding the business needs, translating them into technical requirements, and working closely with IT and other departments to implement solutions that align with the company's strategic goals.
Work with stakeholders to identify business needs and requirements.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather information.
Document and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
Analyze and model existing business processes.
Identify areas for improvement and propose optimized solutions.
Develop workflow diagrams and data models.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to design solutions.
Create functional specifications and user stories.
Ensure solutions meet business objectives and requirements.
Assist in project planning, including timelines, resources, and budget.
Monitor project progress and communicate status to stakeholders.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery.
Develop test plans and test cases.
Conduct and coordinate testing to ensure solutions meet requirements.
Identify, document, and track issues and ensure they are resolved.
Assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies.
Provide training and support to users.
Develop user manuals and documentation.
Analyze data to identify trends and insights.
Prepare and present reports to management and stakeholders.
Use data to drive decision-making and business improvements.
Maintain regular communication with stakeholders.
Facilitate meetings and workshops.
Act as a liaison between business units and IT.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
PMI -PBA certification or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an IT environment.
Proven experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques.
Knowledge of project management methodologies.
Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI tools).
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
Full-time position.
