Job summary

A leading investment firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced equity research analyst to conduct in-depth research on U.S.-listed technology and AI-related companies. The ideal candidate will have a finance-related degree and 5–10 years of investment analysis experience, with strong communication skills in English and ideally Mandarin.   • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in equity research, buy-side strategy, or investment analysis, preferably with a focus on U.S. tech and AI sectors.
  • Strong understanding of AI ecosystem dynamics, including infrastructure (GPU, semiconductors), software applications, and data platforms.
  • Proven ability to analyze financial statements, build models, and articulate investment theses clearly.
  • High intellectual curiosity, with the ability to form independent and contrarian views supported by data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for communication with Chinese-speaking principals.
  • Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial family office environment with minimal supervision.
  • Passion for innovation, disruptive technologies, and long-term investing.
  • Prior experience in a family office, hedge fund, or private wealth setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with quantitative analysis, AI-related metrics, and market microstructure a plus.

What you'll be doing on the job
  • Conduct in-depth fundamental and thematic research on U.S.-listed technology and AI-related companies, including software, semiconductors, cloud, hardware, and emerging AI infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, regulatory developments, and technological innovation impacting the AI and tech ecosystem.
  • Build and maintain financial models and valuation frameworks to support investment recommendations.
  • Generate investment ideas and prepare written reports, presentations, and dashboards for portfolio review discussions.
  • Work closely with the COO and Principal to support investment decision-making, including entry and exit strategies.
  • Track market sentiment, macroeconomic indicators, and earnings catalysts that influence short- and medium-term performance.
  • Maintain relationships with sell-side analysts, industry experts, and research vendors to enrich market perspectives.
  • Contribute to portfolio monitoring and performance attribution analysis on tech and AI positions.
