Job description

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Instructor to support the delivery of biomedical informatics education across our undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional certificate programmes. The Instructor will contribute to teaching, curriculum delivery, and student mentorship, helping us to build the next generation of biomedical informaticians for Singapore and beyond.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for DBMI’s educational and professional certificate programmes.
  • Supervise student projects, internships, and other experiential learning activities.
  • Collaborate with course coordinators in curriculum design, development, and review.
  • Provide academic and career guidance to students.
  • Support outreach and executive education initiatives under DBMI.
  • Undertake academic and administrative service within the School and University.
Requirements
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, mathematics, computer science, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching or professional experience.
  • A strong foundation in areas such as data analysis, machine learning, AI, computer vision, large language models, Agentic AI or human–computer interaction.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Resourceful and up-to-date with developments in biomedical informatics, particularly in healthcare applications.
  • Proactive, reflective about teaching practice, and passionate about student engagement.
  • Prior experience in teaching adult learners is advantageous.
