The Head of Global Markets Operations Continuous Improvement and Small Change is a senior leadership role responsible for driving a structured, disciplined approach to continuous improvement, incremental change, and operational optimization across Global Markets Operations.

Responsibilities
Strategy
- Define and own the Global Markets Operations continuous improvement and small change strategy.
- Establish standardized methodologies (e.g., Lean, Agile, Kaizen) for incremental improvement delivery.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, risk reduction, and feasibility.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement across Operations.
Business
- Design, implement, and own the Global Markets Operations performance management framework.
- Establish consistent KPIs, metrics, and scorecards across trading, post‑trade, clearing, collateral, client, and regulatory operations.
- Ensure alignment between operational performance metrics, business strategy, and risk appetite.
Processes
- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of small change initiatives, including process enhancements, system configuration changes, automation, and control improvements.
- Partner with Technology and Operations teams to deliver changes outside of large transformation programs.
- Ensure rapid, low‑risk delivery with clear ownership, governance, and controls.
- Track benefits realization and sustainability of delivered changes.
Process Improvement
- Identify process inefficiencies, waste, rework, and control gaps across Global Markets Operations.
- Drive simplification, standardization, and automation of operational processes.
- Improve straight‑through processing (STP), reduce manual interventions, and lower operational risk.
- Deliver targeted improvements to address operational risk, audit issues, and regulatory findings.
- Enhance preventative and detective controls through process and system improvements.
- Partner with Business Risk Management to embed risk considerations in change delivery.
People & Talent
- Lead, develop, and retain a global regulatory operations organization.
- Build a strong leadership bench and succession pipeline.
- Foster a culture of accountability, control ownership, and regulatory excellence.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Risk Management
- Establish governance forums to review performance, cost, and capacity outcomes.
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Technology, HR, and Risk to align performance objectives.
- Represent Operations Business Performance Management in senior leadership and strategy forums.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

Our Ideal Candidate
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related discipline required.
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in operation optimization in Global Markets operations.
Role Specific Competencies
- Strong financial acumen and analytical capability.
- Expertise in performance measurement, management information, and data analytics.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience supporting large‑scale operational transformation.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior management and regulators.
- Strong judgment and ability to provide constructive, credible challenge.
