A global engineering firm in Singapore seeks a Graduate Structural Engineer to join its APAC team. In this graduate role, you will join our APAC Structural Engineering team, based in Singapore, to work on the design of some of the most exciting projects in the APAC and worldwide. Working closely with colleagues across our multi-disciplinary practice, you will provide specialist consultancy input on projects across a wide range of sectors. Join us as a Graduate Structural Engineer and you will work with and be guided by a team of expert engineers to carry out structural engineering design and analysis, using your maths, science, and problem-solving skills to design inspirational and sustainable structures and more. This role will require you to use your knowledge and expertise to define and translate the Clients’ needs into designs for buildings and infrastructure with sustainability at the forefront of the design. You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, and with accredited professional development programmes from IStructE, ICE, PEB or other relevant professional institutions, you will be supported towards Chartership / Professional Registration.
Accredited to BEng / MEng degree level (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering, you have a keen interest in structural design and analysis for the built environment, and crucially - have a passion for creative and intuitive design.
Possessing a desire for personal and professional development, you have the proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Computational Design and Digital Engineering is a big focus at our team, so ideally, you will have an understanding of Parametric Modelling Techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo), or at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, C#, VB).
You are organised and methodical in your approach to managing your tasks and priorities, striving to meet deadlines.
Collaborative in nature, you will be able to empathise with the Clients’ needs and utilise excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with internal and external stakeholders. You are used to using your initiative to overcome challenges and have a positive, can-do attitude.
