Job summary

A global logistics leader in Singapore is seeking a Data Protection Officer to ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations. This role involves assessing and monitoring compliance processes and providing guidance to local Data Protection Officers. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Law and at least 3 years of relevant experience in data protection legislation. Certifications in DPO and AI compliance are preferred, along with proficiency in English. The position offers opportunities to develop training materials and engage with Data Protection Authorities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience providing legal advice.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data protection and privacy legislation.
  • Previous experience as a DPO or Assistant DPO (3+ years) is an advantage.
  • DPO certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • AI Compliance certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Assess and validate processing activities for compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain PIAs and DPIAs for high-risk processing activities.
  • Provide guidance to local and regional DPOs.
  • Develop training materials on data protection and privacy.
  • Monitor privacy risk management.
  • Assist in engagements with Data Protection Authorities.
  • Support incident management in case of data breaches.
  • Ensure all required documentation is maintained.
