Responsibilities

• Design and execute research on the critical industrial challenges of GenAI innovation.
• Work with product teams to understand key privacy requirements from the TikTok product family and provide technical consulting on privacy-related features.
• Work with engineering teams to apply technical achievements from our research to product prototyping.
• Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and verbal presentations.
• Represent PI Lab and our work in the external technical and academic community.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications：

• Final year Ph.D or recent Ph.D graduates in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Research experience in GenAI with a strong publication record or contributions to open-source projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of research or production experience in the following areas:
• Pretraining, fine-tuning, and post-training
• Responsible AI, privacy-preserving LLMs, and LLM alignment
• Reinforcement learning for tuning language models
• Efficient training and inference techniques
