Qualifications

  • Certification by one of the medical specialty boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).
  • Fellowship with the Hong Kong Academy or College (FHKAM, FHKAM etc).
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT or CCST) from the UK or Ireland.
  • Certification by one of the Royal Colleges in Australia or New Zealand.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to quality clinical services and supervise inpatient care.
  • Perform Trauma Surgery procedures independently.
  • Participate in on-call rosters for emergencies.
  • Provide teaching to junior medical staff.
  • Other duties assigned by department heads.

The role

The role will be discussed in more detail directly with the hospital team over a video meeting.

What are we looking for?

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to quality clinical services, supervising inpatient care and providing specialist consultations;
  • Performing Trauma Surgery procedures independently
  • Participating in on-call rosters for emergencies and clinical service provision if required;
  • Providing teaching and supervision to junior medical staff;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head of Division and Head of Department.

Please note, this is a very busy tertiary hospital environment which will require the suitable candidate to be fit and healthy and will also require night on call duties.

Qualifications
  • Certification by one of the medical specialty boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
  • Fellowship with the Hong Kong Academy or College (FHKAM, FHKAM etc)
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT or CCST) awarded by a competent authority of the UK or Ireland (CESR is not recognised in Singapore)
  • Certification by one of the Royal Colleges in Australia or New Zealand
