Job summary

A preschool enrichment center is seeking a freelance preschool enrichment teacher to conduct small-group English and early-literacy classes for children aged 3–6. Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, creating a positive learning environment, and communicating with parents. Ideal candidates should have experience with young children, strong English skills, and preferably hold an Early Childhood Education diploma. A commitment to weekly evening classes is required.

Class Timing

• Wednesday: 6:00pm – 7:30pm

• Friday: 6:30pm – 8:00pm

We are hiring a freelance preschool enrichment teacher to conduct small-group English and early-literacy classes for children aged 3–6 years old. The programme uses a play-based, multi-sensory approach focusing on phonics, reading readiness, communication and confidence-building.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate literacy lessons (stories, phonics, songs, games, hands-on activities)

• Conduct 60–90 minute classes following a structured curriculum

• Create a positive, safe and engaging classroom environment

• Share simple progress updates with parents when required

• Assist with basic class set-up and pack-up

Requirements

• Experience working with preschool children (enrichment / preschool / childcare preferred)

• Strong command of English and confident communication

• Patient, energetic and able to manage young children in small groups

• Comfortable teaching phonics and early literacy

• Able to commit to both weekly evening slots (Wed & Fri)

• Preferably with Early Childhood / Education diploma/degree and experience communicating with parents
