About the role

SSA Talent Solutions Pte. Ltd. is seeking a well-experienced Financial Controller for a large Telco Company with established operations in Singapore, Malaysia, and Nepal. This role serves as the operational financial leader responsible for ensuring robust financial reporting, compliance, and control frameworks across the group's diverse portfolio of companies. This role focuses on day-to-day financial management, accurate reporting, and supporting strategic financial initiatives including M&A support and due diligence, while maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. In the absence of a dedicated Group CFO, this role encompasses both operational excellence and strategic financial leadership, serving as the primary financial advisor to the Group CEO and senior leadership team while managing critical external stakeholder relationships. This full-time position is based in the East Region.

What you'll be doing

o Strategic Finance & M&A Support

· Support financial aspects of M&A due diligence, target evaluation, and post-acquisition financial integration across portfolio companies

· Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the Group CEO on capital allocation, investment opportunities, and portfolio optimization

· Develop and maintain financial models for business valuation, scenario planning, and strategic decision-making

o Financial Operations & Reporting

· Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounting, reporting, and consolidation across portfolio companies

· Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes

· Maintain accurate financial records & ensure compliance with accounting standards across Singapore, Malaysia, and Nepal

· Support preparation of management reports, budgets, and forecasts with variance analysis

· Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of statutory audits

o Financial Control & Compliance

· Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting

· Support regulatory compliance and financial reporting standards across multiple jurisdictions

· Monitor and manage financial risks, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies

· Ensure adherence to corporate governance requirements and internal policies

· Support tax compliance and statutory reporting requirements

o M&A Support & Investment Analysis

· Support M&A due diligence activities including financial analysis and data room preparation

· Assist in financial modeling for investment appraisals and business valuations

· Support post-acquisition financial integration and standardization of accounting practices

· Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making

· Support financing activities and capital structure optimization

o Treasury & Cash Management

· Support treasury operations including cash flow management and working capital optimization

· Monitor banking relationships and support debt covenant compliance

· Assist in capital allocation decisions and funding strategies

· Support foreign exchange risk management across multiple currencies

· Monitor liquidity positions and support cash management best practices

o Portfolio Company Financial Oversight

· Support portfolio company CFOs in implementing group financial standards and policies

· Provide guidance on financial reporting requirements and best practices

· Support standardization of accounting processes and systems across the group

· Monitor financial performance of portfolio companies and provide analysis

· Facilitate knowledge sharing and capability building across finance teams

o Stakeholder Management & Reporting

· Support the Group CEO with financial analysis and strategic insights

· Prepare board reports and presentations on financial performance

· Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies

· Support investor relations activities and external reporting requirements

· Collaborate with legal and operations teams on financial matters

What we're looking for

A. Essential Requirements

· Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) with 10-15 years of progressive financial experience

· Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with consolidation processes

· Experience in multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional financial management

· Proven track record in financial control environments and compliance management

· Experience supporting M&A transactions and post-acquisition integration

· Advanced proficiency in financial systems, Excel, and reporting tools

B. Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in telecommunications, IT, distribution, or technology sectors

· Previous exposure to investment group or multi-business environments

· Knowledge of regulatory requirements across ASEAN markets

· Experience with financial modeling and investment analysis

· Advanced degree or MBA in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred

· Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing finance teams

· Proven ability to work directly with C-suite executives and board members
