Job description
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation process across multiple entities and regions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
  • Manage intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translations, and equity accounting.
  • Collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
  • Analyse consolidated business performance, identify trends and provide insights to senior leadership.
  • Support external audit processes and liaise with auditors on consolidation-related matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement in consolidation processes and reporting efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
  • Lead or support finance transformation initiatives related to consolidation and other statutory reporting.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes across selected business units.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive stakeholders.
  • Support strategic initiatives including M&A, capital investments, and cost optimisation.
Skills for Success
  • Degree in Accounting or its equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant work experience. External audit experience and at least 2 years of working experience in financial consolidation and reporting in a MNC environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/ Japanese GAAP and consolidation principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
