The Role:

The Finance Manager will report directly to the President and play a key role in providing strategic financial planning. Leading a team of two Accounts Executives, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and driving initiatives to improve cost efficiency and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the finance team in day-to-day operations, including accounts payable & receivable, payroll and financial reporting.
  • Develop and monitor annual budgets in alignment with the institution's strategic goals.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to the management.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support the planning of future academic programs and initiatives.
  • Implement and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with heads of departments to forecast and optimise resources.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Manage cash flow and optimise financial operations to support the institution's growth.
  • Review monthly payroll and perform bank submission for staff and adjunct lecturers.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant).
  • 5 years of progressive financial management experience, within an international private education setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore's financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Strong business acumen, financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Infotech and Sage300 would be an advantage.
