Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior Finance professional to lead the finance and accounting function for a growing multi outlet beauty salon group. This role is responsible for end to end financial management, reporting, cash flow control, and compliance, while acting as a trusted business partner to management on commercial and operational decisions.

The role is hands on and execution focused, with accountability for both day to day finance operations and higher level financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Leadership and Governance

• Own the full set of accounts across all outlets
• Ensure timely, accurate month end and year end closing
• Establish and enforce financial controls and discipline
• Oversee accounting staff or outsourced providers, if applicable

2. Management Reporting and Decision Support

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts with insights and commentary
• Analyse outlet level profitability, staff costs, commissions, and promotions
• Provide financial input on pricing, packages, campaigns, and expansion plans
• Support management with scenario analysis and break even assessments

3. Cash Flow and Working Capital Management

• Actively manage cash flow and liquidity
• Monitor prepaid packages, deferred revenue, and customer liabilities
• Optimise payment terms with landlords, vendors, and suppliers
• Flag financial risks early and recommend corrective actions

4. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Performance Tracking

• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
• Track actual performance against budget and explain variances
• Develop KPIs for outlet managers and operations teams
• Support incentive and commission structure design

5. Compliance, Audit, and Tax

• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries
• Ensure timely GST filings, tax submissions, and statutory compliance
• Support year end audits and tax planning initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting and regulatory standards

6. Systems, Processes, and Scalability

• Review and improve accounting systems, POS integration, and workflows
• Strengthen financial processes to support growth and scalability
• Implement reporting tools and dashboards where appropriate
• Improve data accuracy between operations, booking systems, and finance

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA preferred)
• 7–12 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
• Prior experience in retail, beauty, F&B, or multi outlet consumer businesses strongly preferred
• Proven experience managing full sets of accounts and audits
