Job summary

A leading firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional for a Financial Accounting & Reporting role. The successful candidate will handle full sets of accounts, prepare financial statements, and assist in compliance with Singapore financial regulations. Ideal applicants should have a diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance and 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in MS Excel are essential. Qualifications

Job Description
Financial Accounting &Reporting
  • Handle full sets of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and bankreconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, andsupporting schedules.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records inaccordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Process supplier invoices, staff claims, and paymentsaccurately and timely.
  • Verify supporting documents and ensure compliance withcompany policies.
  • Prepare payment runs (cheques, GIRO, TT) and liaisewith suppliers on billing issues.
Accounts Receivable(AR)
  • Issue customer invoices and credit notes.
  • Monitor collections and follow up on outstandingpayments.
  • Maintain customer accounts and ageing reports.
Cash & BankManagement
  • Prepare weekly/monthly cash flow reports.
  • Monitor company bank balances, incoming/outgoingpayments, and FX transactions.
  • Assist in setting up bank instructions and liaise withbankers when required.
Tax & Compliance
  • Assist with GST submission (F5/F7), withholding tax,and corporate tax schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with IRAS, ACRA, MOM and otherstatutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and corporatesecretaries during audit and filing seasons.
Internal Controls& Policies
  • Ensure proper documentation, filing, and adherence tofinance SOPs.
  • Support improvements to internal controls and processefficiency.
  • Assist with implementation of new systems (ERP/CRM/HRsystems) when required.
Business Support
  • Prepare costing, budget, and variance analysis whenrequired.
  • Work with internal departments (Sales, HR, Logistics,Operations) on financial matters.
  • Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis andtasks.
2. Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relatedfields.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant accountingexperience, ideally in an SME or multi-entity environment.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GSTrules, and basic tax compliance.
  • Proficient in MS Excel; experience with accountingsoftware (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, SAP, Oracle) is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability meet deadlines.
  • Positive working attitude, proactive, and able to workindependently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
