A leading engineering company in Singapore is seeking a skilled Fabrication & Mechanical Engineer with expertise in oil & gas manufacturing processes. The role involves developing engineering drawings, coordinating with fabrication teams, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5–10 years of relevant experience, showcasing strong analytical skills and attention to detail. We are seeking a highly skilled Fabrication & Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in oil & gas manufacturing processes, including the design, review, and engineering of canopies, strainers, pressure-rated components, and customised engineered parts. This role requires advanced engineering knowledge, project coordination skills, and the ability to supervise and guide fabrication activities to ensure precision, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Develop, review, and interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D models, and fabrication specifications.
Provide engineering guidance for the fabrication of oil & gas components such as canopies, strainers, pressure vessels, and customised assemblies.
Coordinate closely with fabrication teams to ensure work is carried out according to engineering requirements and quality standards.
Perform engineering calculations, material selection, and technical assessments to ensure structural integrity and compliance.
Ensure all fabricated components meet dimensional accuracy, Singapore Standards (SS), WSH regulations, and customer specifications.
Conduct engineering inspections, identify non-conformities, and provide corrective action recommendations.
Plan fabrication workflows, allocate resources, and manage project timelines.
Support welding preparation, method statements, and quality documentation.
Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal site teams for project execution and technical clarification.
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5– 10 years of engineering experience in fabrication, machining, or oil & gas mechanical components.
Strong understanding of fabrication standards, materials, tolerances, and industry codes.
Ability to read, interpret, and review high-complexity engineering drawings independently.
Experience in design or review of customised, non-standard, and high-precision engineered parts.
Familiarity with fabrication shop processes, welding procedures, and QA/QC requirements.
Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and engineering accuracy.
Strong safety awareness and experience working in high-risk fabrication or workshop environments.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet strict deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or project‑critical shifts when required.
Oversee and guide fabrication activities involving machinery such as bandsaws, hydraulic presses, rollers, and precision measuring instruments.
Monitor workshop safety, housekeeping standards, and compliance with engineering procedures.
Support tool/equipment maintenance planning and workshop operational efficiency.
Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and fabrication teams to achieve project milestones with engineering precision.
