Job summary

A multinational engineering consultancy in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to assist in various design and engineering tasks. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and have relevant design experience. The role involves supervising a drafting team and ensuring compliance with design standards. Applicants with knowledge in ACMV and related services are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Entry level with some consultancy internship experience are welcome.
• 3+ years of design experience in a consultancy firm is advantageous.
• Prior hands-on design experience in ACMV, Fire and Hydraulic services is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader and Job Captain in their duties.
• Supervise the design drafting team.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of designs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader and Job Captain in the performance of their duties
• Supervise the other design drafting team
• Ensure quality and accuracy of designs
• Ensure compliance with project Design Criteria/Client Brief/Approved Concept
• Ensure compliance with relevant design standards and office standards
• Attend and participate in design meetings
• Ensure compliance with ISO Quality Procedure Manual

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board.
• Entry level with some consultancy internship experience are welcome to apply
• 3 years and above design experience in consultancy firm would be advantageous
• Must have prior hands-on design experience in the design of ACMV, Fire and Hydraulic services for large scale building projects
• Experience in Rail and infrastructure projects and data centre an advantage

Additional Requirements

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be fully familiar with local and international codes
• Hands-on experience with relevant engineering software and BIM
• Must be able to work independently
• Must have a good understanding of unit costs of the MEP services in various types of projects
