Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced individual to assist in managing production processes in the CS&M Shop. You will supervise a team, ensuring compliance with safety standards while meeting maintenance deadlines. Candidates should hold a degree in a relevant engineering field and preferably possess over 5 years of experience in maintaining electro-mechanical equipment. Effective teamwork and safety leadership are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Technology/Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Preferably 5 years’ relevant experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and supervise work carried out by the team.
  • Assist in meeting key performance indicators set by Division.
  • Conduct engineering analysis and investigations on incidents/accidents.
  • Analyze system performance and provide areas of improvement.
  • Conduct periodic safety inspection and audit.
  • Coordinate with other departments for reliability-related scope.
  • Responsible for the safety of staff under his charge.
Job description
Job Purpose

To assist Branch Manager (BM) and Section Manager (SM) to plan, organize and manage the CS&M Shop production in meeting the Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) on Trains/Equipment/Component timeline. Providing a safe, reliable, quality, and cost-effective operation in the CS&M Shop as well as to lead a team of Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers. To provide engineering and technical support within CS&M.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  1. To plan and supervise work carried out by the team.
  2. To assist BM/SM in meeting the key performance indicators set by Division.
  3. To assist SM in overseeing the dissemination of instructions and procedures issued to team members.
  4. To assist SM in conducting engineering analysis and investigations on incidents/accidents.
  5. To analyze system performance (via F&D), perform trending of system faults and provide areas of improvement.
  6. To conduct detailed investigation for major delay fault and provide or implement remedial actions.
  7. To conduct periodic safety inspection and audit within CS&M to ensure compliance with the specific standards.
  8. To coordinate with other departments for any reliability related scope if required.
  9. To generate system performance report for CS&M.
  10. To conduct periodic review and implementation of Quality Procedures / Risk Assessment / Work Instructions / Work Records
  11. To assist BM/SM in preparation of the budgeting and expenses of cost center within CS&M.
  12. Responsible for the safety of staff under his charge, conducting toolbox briefing/audits, dissemination of safety and admin messages and staff work in accordance to safety procedures.
  13. Exercise safety always; in accordance to established Safety procedures. Responsible for the safety of self and all co-workers, inclusive of contractors
  14. Execute productivity improvement initiatives, efficiency drives and innovations for his team and the Branch through active interaction with staff and external partners.
  15. Able to participate and complete the technical Skills training provided by SMRT and achieve the necessary qualifications to perform maintenance work on SMRT Component Servicing & Maintenance
  16. Responsible in ensuring workplace order and hygiene.
  17. Able to work on a shift roster system (as required) in accordance with the MOM guidelines and the Collective Agreement.
  18. Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of the works assigned: e.g. attend to emergency mainline incident, as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications & Work Experience
  1. Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Technology / Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  2. Preferably 5 years’ relevant experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electro‑mechanical equipment.

  8. Any other courses assigned by Manager
