Job summary

A civil engineering consulting firm in Singapore is seeking a Civil Engineer to assist in planning and design projects. You will engage with clients and manage project compliance with statutory standards. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering and has at least 2 years of relevant design experience. Strong communication skills and proficiency in engineering software are essential for this role.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in planning & design works for civil engineering Projects for local and/or overseas


• Assist the Team Leader to carry out planning site investigations and interpreting results, conducting C&S, environmental and geotechnical design and analysis, managing main-contracts and sub-contracts, as necessary and supervise and coordinate design and/or site work


• Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice


• Engage and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties


• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients


• Oversee project timelines, costs and quality standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil / Environmental Engineering recognized by BCA/IES/ACES


• At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably with design exposure


• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English


• Team player, able to multi-task and capable of working independently with minimal supervision


• Disciplined, self-motivated and resourceful


• Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)


• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Civil 3D, Plaxis etc. will be advantageous
