Overview

Primary Function: To assist the department in account management, sales prospecting and business development of our exhibitions/conferences to customers; generate sponsorship revenue; and oversee the collective coordination of all event information and resources.

Main Responsibilities
  • To execute sales and marketing strategies in acquiring potential leads.
  • To identify new markets and business opportunities through various means including cold calling to increase event sales.
  • To actively source and prospect clients for exhibitions.
  • To prepare exciting and creative proposals to attract new sponsors and other clients at all levels.
  • To provide customers with quotations and follow up promptly.
  • To maintain and develop excellent customer relationships with clients and continuously focus on improving customer satisfaction to create customer loyalty and deliver a positive event experience.
  • To provide accurate and timely information to relevant internal and external parties.
  • To assist in conducting market research, market monitoring and business development activities to enhance efficiency and performance of the sales department.
  • To gather market and customer information to stay relevant in the market
  • To represent the Company at trade exhibitions and events for the purpose of collecting qualified leads and pertinent sales information as well as keeping up with market trends
  • To plan, design and implement other revenue-generating ideas, e.g. show directories/issues/diaries/dailies, merchandising, business centre, polaroids, awards, competitions, postcards, hospitality suites, plastic/paper bags, daily bulletins/messages boards, electronic media, press conferences, printing etc.
  • To source for mailing lists and oversee databases of potential sellers and hosted/trade buyers.
  • To submit and update sales/project reports.
  • To assist in any other duties assigned from time to time.
