Role Overview
The ERP Consultant plays a key role in business analysis, requirements gathering, system implementation, user training, and ongoing support for our ERP solutions. The role also involves working closely with clients throughout the pre- and post-sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project resources, timelines, and deliverables through to successful completion
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including system demonstrations and solution presentations
- Conduct business process analysis and requirements gathering with clients
- Act as a subject matter expert on functional and technical ERP issues
- Deliver ERP training sessions and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Lead ERP pre- and post-sales implementation, deployment, and ongoing project management
Functional & Business Skills
- Strong understanding of end-to-end ERP business processes, including Finance (GL, AR, AP), Inventory, Procurement, Sales, and Reporting.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and system configurations
- Experience conducting business process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design
- Knowledge of internal controls, accounting principles, and financial workflows is highly advantageous
ERP Implementation Skills
- Hands‑on experience in ERP implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system configuration, data migration, testing, go‑live, and post‑implementation support
- Experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and issue resolution
- Ability to manage change requests, scope adjustments, and system enhancements
- Understanding of master data setup, chart of accounts, tax configuration, and approval workflows
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Strong project management skills in managing timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including customers, internal consultants, developers, and vendors
- Experience supporting pre‑sales activities, including solution demonstrations and proposal input
Training & Support
- Ability to conduct end‑user training, create user guides, and provide ongoing system support
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve functional and process‑related issues
- Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to perform in a fast‑paced consulting environment
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required
