Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Fabrication technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial metal work, including supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication standards, and welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations in the workshop and manage cutting, welding, grinding, and repairs.
• Interpret engineering drawings and translate them into clear work instructions.
• Monitor job progress to meet schedule and quality expectations.
• Ensure compliance with structural integrity and quality expectations.
• Inspect jobs for workmanship and dimensional accuracy.
• Support root cause analysis and propose improvements.
• Ensure availability of materials, tools, and consumables.
• Monitor usage of welding rods and consumables.
• Supervise technicians and identify training needs.
• Ensure compliance with workshop safety rules.
