Job description

We are seeking a Director/Senior Manager, Strategic Planning to join our team, and you will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s strategic initiatives and business transformation efforts across the semiconductor industry in key Asian markets, including Singapore, Malaysia, India, and the Philippines. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to analyze business environments, support regulatory compliance, and promote sustainable growth aligned with mid- to long-term corporate objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively address urgent business challenges, including regulatory compliance updates and crisis management related to international assignees, ensuring smooth business continuity
  • Collaborate with internal legal departments and external counsel on special cases and strategic projects, ensuring alignment with corporate governance and risk management requirements
  • Lead comprehensive research on market trends, regulatory environments, and competitive landscapes within the semiconductor industry across Singapore, Malaysia, India, and Philippines to inform local business development strategies
  • Partner with headquarters divisions and relevant departments to assist in the formulation and refinement of mid- to long-term business strategies, leveraging cross-functional insights and data-driven analysis
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop scenario analyses and evaluate strategic options, facilitating informed decision-making and accelerating the strategy formulation process
  • Drive the implementation of business strategies by coordinating with organizational units, aligning policies, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration to ensure effective execution
  • Act as a key driver of business transformation initiatives by setting clear goals, managing progress, and measuring outcomes. Lead continuous improvement activities aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening competitive advantage
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Human Resources or its equivalent
  • More than 5 years of relevant working experience in semiconductor industry focusing on market analysis or business strategy
  • Good understanding of the business environment in Southeast Asia and India
  • Proven track record in formulating and implementing business strategies at global or regional level
  • Experience leading business reform and process improvement projects
  • Demonstrate project management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
  • Proficiency in Japanese language (JLPT N1) is highly advantageous due to regular communication and coordination with our headquarter and stakeholders in Japan
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and analytical skill
  • Strong communication and good interpersonal skills
